Quark optical anodized aluminum bases are devices that hold the optical element attached to it at the desired height.
These non-magnetic posts are made of precision machined hard anodized coated aluminum. The anodized hard coating of each post provides an ultra-hard surface increases wear, abrasion, and corrosion resistance, as well as a black surface for low reflection in the ultraviolet and visible wavelength range. Therefore, these posts are ideal for magnetic field sensitive applications or applications that require lower reflection than our stainless-steel bases.
The 3.2 mm hole placed on the side is drilled right in the middle of the post; attaching a spanner wrench to the hole provides extra leverage when tightening assembled components.
