Variable Centering Plate minimizes the offset of the optical path, allowing you to achieve more accurate results. This product is attached to the table, providing a parallel mounting location for another object 10 to 20 mm away from the table end.
While most conventional mirror assemblies use their backplates for mounting, the front surface of the optic is usually offset from the center of the mounting pole. Variable Centering Plate uses the M4 nut embedded in the opposite hole to install the kinematic mirror assembly. The center of the nut can be turned between 11.7 mm and 20.1 mm from the center of the counter hole M4, which is used to mount the centering plate with the post. The front surface of the mirror can be positioned in the range of 8.4 mm, which allows the front surface of the mirror to be placed on the center of the 12mm post. This reduces any axle offset of the optical path when rotating the mounting post.
This plate can also be used as an extension to place the assembly in the path of the optical beam where it is not possible to use a post holder due to space constraints.
