Locking Ball and Socket Mount can hold optical elements in different angles and orientations using a top and socket mechanism.

These mounts include a ball and socket mechanism that allows the mounting surface to be placed at the desired location within a 50° cone. The three cutouts in the base allow the mounting surface to be positioned at an angle of 90° relative to the base of the adapter. The rotating ball has a removable double-ended screw mounting surface. The position of the mounting surface can be fixed using any of the three locking screws; tension adjustment can also be made. There are M4 x 0.7 threaded holes at the bottom of each base, making these adapters ideal for use with optical pedestals and general optomechanics.
