PROJECT OBJECTIVE
Multi-SPAD is one of the crucial optical laboratory equipment we aim to develop. This device aims to provide significant advantages in various application areas through the use of multiple Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) detectors on a single board. The Multi-SPAD device enables more precise, accurate, and rapid measurements by enhancing the data obtained from a single SPAD detector. With these features, the Multi-SPAD device can be used in various fields, such as quantum cryptography, quantum communication, and quantum sensing. Quark Optical contributes to Turkey's development in optical measurement technology and domestic production potential through the Multi-SPAD device. Additionally, the efficiency and compact structure of this device will allow for a reduction in production costs, enhancing our country's competitiveness and increasing the potential for domestic production in the field of optical technology.
INNOVATIVE ASPECTS
The use of multiple SPADs on a single board provides a more efficient solution compared to combining separately produced detectors. This device can provide researchers with more accurate and detailed data. The output of each SPAD sensor in Multi-SPAD is separated, allowing integration into more complex systems. Another advantage is that, with computer connectivity, it will be possible to reach the Peltier and Avalanche Photodiode (APD) temperatures and high voltage values for each SPAD channel. Additionally, the opening and closing control of these channels can be managed. Simultaneously, the configured data can be stored in memory and used without the need for computer connection."
